The Window Company Donates £500 to Sale Harriers' Star Track Summer Camp
We're proud to have donated £500 to Sale Harriers Manchester through our Recycle & Reward programme, helping to support the club's brilliant Star Track summer camp for the second year running.
Star Track has been part of the Sale Harriers calendar for decades and gives local children the opportunity to spend two weeks getting involved in all sorts of athletics, from running and jumping to throwing events and team competitions.
One of the things that makes Star Track so special is that the club works hard to keep the cost as affordable as possible for families. Support from local businesses, together with the huge amount of time given by volunteers, helps make that possible.

A Mini Olympics to Finish the Summer
The two-week programme culminates in a fantastic final day which has the feel of a mini Olympics.
The children are split into teams representing different countries, complete with flags and colours, before competing across a variety of athletics events. As you can see from the photos, it creates a brilliant atmosphere and is something the kids absolutely love being part of.
For us, this is exactly the type of local initiative we want our Recycle & Reward programme to support.

Supporting Grassroots Sport in Our Community
Grassroots clubs like Sale Harriers rely heavily on people giving up their own time. Coaches, organisers, parents and volunteers put a huge amount of work in behind the scenes to make programmes like Star Track happen year after year.
Wayne Shaw, Managing Director of The Window Co, is also a member of Sale Harriers, so the club is particularly close to home for us.
Wayne said:
“Star Track is a brilliant programme and you can see how much the kids get out of it. Sale Harriers and all the volunteers put so much work into making it happen, while still trying to keep the cost affordable for families. Being a member of the club myself, it's something I'm really pleased we can support through The Window Co. Hopefully we can continue doing our bit for many years to come.”
This is now the second consecutive year we've supported Star Track, and we're delighted that money generated through our recycling programme can be put back into something that has such a positive impact on local children.
A huge well done to everyone at Sale Harriers involved in another fantastic Star Track, and particularly to all the volunteers who give their time to make it possible.
We're already looking forward to next year.
