It's beautifully exemplified in our partnership with the Stretford Meadows Action Team.
Transforming a neglected area
This fantastic group of local residents is on a mission to transform a neglected area in Stretford into a thriving green haven. They've already planted fruit trees and are busy creating a community garden with vegetable patches and picnic benches. But to truly make their vision a reality, they needed a helping hand.
That's where our Recycle and Reward programme came in. Through this initiative, we're able to give back to the community by recycling old uPVC windows and donating the proceeds to worthy causes. In the case of Stretford Meadows, we were thrilled to contribute £250 to their project.
This donation, as Helen from the Action Team expressed, "will go towards plants for the raised beds where people can help themselves to produce grown in them." It's a fantastic example of how even a seemingly small contribution can make a big difference.
