This job all started from the customer calling us in a panic after she had one of the big national double glazing companies in. They had done the hard sell for 4 hours to the point of despair for the customer, the customer finally gave in & handed over a deposit & signed the order.

The next day with clear heads they started to research this company online & found all sorts of negative reviews etc hence the call to us. Wayne the owner was booked In the next day & did his usual of going around each window & discussing what the customer was after, he will then take it away, work out a quote & either call back round & go through it with you or if you prefer email or post it.

In this case we emailed the quote over as they had already been into our showroom to see our products & researched us online. Simple? or so you would think?

They had another quote from a so called competitor who had thousands of positive reviews on a review site which the customers were thinking of going with to fit their windows.

The company in question are well known in the industry for going bankrupt every other year etc & various other bad practices.

One thing we don't do at The Window Company is slate other double glazing companies, it's the easiest thing to do. What we do do however is let the customer do their on research. These customers did & did it well, they found out the companies directors have dissolved over 25 companies in the last 10 years also their premises were not where they said they were & there had huge suspicions that their reviews were fake!

Moral of the story? Do your research!! online, offline face to face at another customers house!
